Students who are well-fed are more likely to be focused and ready to learn. The Charles City Community School District food service serves about 1,710 meals each day.
Parents can log into the food service account system to check on account balance, establish a low balance warning notification, add money to the family account online, and monitor family spending including setting spending caps for each student on your account.
If you need help with your food service username and password please contact Paige Elsbernd in the Food Service office.
Charles City Community School District Board Policy 710.4 on Meal Charges
In accordance with state and federal law, the Charles City Community School District adopts the policy linked to below to ensure school district employees, families, and students have a shared understanding of expectations regarding meal charges. The policy seeks to allow students to receive the nutrition they need to stay focused during the school day, prevent the overt identification of students with insufficient funds to pay for school meals, and maintain the financial integrity of the nonprofit school nutrition program.
